Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies NaraDatum Technologies Private Limited uses on sonexis.in (the marketing website), why we use them, and how you can control them.

This policy covers the marketing website only. The Sonexis Collect platform (collect.sonexis.in) is a separate, access-controlled application with its own data handling practices described in the Collect platform documentation.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to website operators. We also use similar local storage technologies where cookies are unavailable or blocked.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary storage

One item is stored so the site can remember your analytics choice. It is not written when you arrive: nothing is stored until you make a choice. Once you have made one, it is what stops us asking again, so it cannot be switched off separately — clearing it simply resets the choice and the banner reappears.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-8VRE3396NF to understand how visitors interact with sonexis.in — which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. This helps us improve the website.

Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you accept it. Until you make that choice, your browser requests nothing from Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, no analytics cookie is set, and nothing about your visit is transmitted. If you reject analytics, or close the banner without choosing, the same remains true.

This is a change from how the site previously behaved. An earlier version loaded Google Analytics on every page and relied on Google Consent Mode to set analytics_storage to denied before you chose. That prevented the analytics cookie, but it did not prevent the request — a page view was still transmitted to Google before any consent was given. The tag is now withheld entirely, which is the only way for nothing to be sent.

These two are the only analytics cookies this site can set. Earlier versions of this policy also listed _gid and _gat. Those belong to Universal Analytics, which this website has never used — Google Analytics 4 does not set them, so they have been removed rather than left as claims we cannot support.

Firebase / Firestore (contact form)

Our contact form at /contact submits to our own service on this domain, which stores the submission in Google Firebase Firestore. No Firebase client runs in your browser on this website, so no Firebase cookie or browser storage is created by using the form. An earlier version of this policy said otherwise; it described how the form worked before it was moved to a server-side endpoint.

Your choices

Consent banner

When you first visit sonexis.in, a consent banner appears with three options: accept analytics, reject, or open settings. Nothing is written to your browser and no analytics request is made until you choose. If you accept, Google Analytics is loaded and its two cookies are set. If you reject, it is never loaded.

Changing your mind

Every page has a Cookie settings control in the footer. It shows your current choice and lets you change it at any time. You can also open it directly at /cookies#cookie-settings.

If you accept and later reject, we stop Google Analytics from sending anything further in that browser tab and delete the _ga and _ga_8VRE3396NF cookies. Data already collected and held by Google before you withdrew is subject to Google’s own retention; to ask for its deletion, contact us at hello@sonexis.in.

Clearing your browser storage for sonexis.in also resets the choice, and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Browser settings

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. The contact form does not depend on any cookie or on browser storage, so blocking them does not affect it. Blocking storage only means we cannot remember your analytics choice, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how the website uses cookies. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. We will not add new tracking technologies without updating this policy and, where required, seeking fresh consent.
